Blending the Captain’s love for wood and his son’s (Sylas) love to create original artwork, these handcrafted, custom, “old-school” longboard decks have been an evolving process between father and son. Using Baltic Birch plywood, the Captain laminates multiple pieces of wood with epoxy. During this lamination process, he creates the camber (flex) that gives you the true feeling of sidewalk surfing. The Captain offers a variety of sizes and shapes to best fit your skating style.

Sylas is a life-long artist who has explored many mediums including skin (tattoos), screen-print shirts, shoes, paper and wood. He hand paints the underside of the longboard decks, so each one is an original work of art. Many designs are a combination of the customer’s ideas blended with Sylas’ creativity and style. He is an avid surfer and skateboarder who test rides and helps design the products.
